  Hang on, "we view legal requirements as our minimum standard", but 'there's no reason to prepare a health and safety policy or report accidents to the HSE?'.

  Ain't that the best practise, if not legal, and therefore minimum standard?

  The right to shun - wrong?

  many people are understandably upset and angry at the notion that jws have the right to shun people.

  it seems such an obvious "no brainer" cruel and inhuman thing to do - it must be wrong ... surely?.

  of course we look at things from the perspective of those hurt and harmed by shunning.

  At least the otracon was only for ten years. A kid could get df'd for smoking at 17, quit at 18, and still live the rest of his life without his family ever talking to him again.

  Mickey mouse hit the nail on the head. Avoiding toxic people is natural, but it must be personal, not mandated by a real estate corporation.

  been reading for about 2 and a half years, thought i would take the plunge and sign up.. my circumstances... i live in uk, serving as ms. i am fully awake.

  i can not leave due to family, so just treating the meetings as a bit of a social club.

  i would like to give out more details, but i think you all know the drill.. complete disillusionment and i suppose natural curiosity woke me up.. don't know what else to say right now, just hello, and i hope to get to know some of you guys better.

  Hey up old major, greetings from Yorkshire! I too am in the social club for the sake of my spouse, it's bearable for now, but it is SO much better when you step off that high horse of being appointed..

  Best get your scatty thinking head on, invent a reason for stepping down..

  one of the most disturbing aspects of the recent cut backs is the big brother communist undemocratic aspect to it..

  in china in the fifties untold millions died of starvation when on a whim the great leap forward made the economy do a u turn.

  I say - why aren't you at your meeting brother? Ten o clock on a Sunday morning and you're posting theories that if true, would paint the GB as unthinking uncaring dictating monsters.

  I'm sure the 1600 bethelites will be ecstatic to suddenly have to accommodate, feed, clean, and support themselves while still giving their all in service to the GB. I mean to Yahweh. Shame on you!

  i wonder if this is true.

  lots of people commenting after the article about how it's proof of g#ds blessing.. so if jw.borg ever gets overtaken in the rankings does that mean the blessing has left the building?.

  the "pre-letter" for the october 4 2015 letter is now posted to the jw.org for elders and it matches what had been leaked.. looks like we can confirm that the preliminary letter and the main letter are legitimate.. unbelievable!.
